A follow up to: Just Looking = Millions of $’s in lost sales opportunities
In this week’s blog post, Chris Petersen discussed the importance of changing the habits of the store Associates in order to move profitability. The trend is to invest millions of dollars in the “stage,” or the store, to increase profitability. But, that is only 1/3 of the equation. Retailers can have a sexy store, but without talented “actors” and a great “script”, they are limiting the consumers shopping experience. Having a quality experience in retail is synonymous to that of a “theater” … it requires a balance of Stage + Actors + Script.
